National Nutrition Month Food Battle Recap

By Ali Mancinelli, Marketing Intern

March is National Nutrition Month, and we celebrated by highlighting some of our favorite nutritious foods. If you missed our weekly food battles, here are the results!

During week one, we voted between broccoli and asparagus.

Broccoli won a close battle, and we shared a few side dishes such as a broccoli salad, lemon garlic broccoli, and oven roasted broccoli.

Week two was battle of the fruits: berries vs. citrus.

Berries came out on top,  and we found a way to incorporate them into every meal! We shared sweet and satisfying treats for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

During week three, two tasty proteins went head-to-head: chicken and salmon.

Salmon took home the prize, and we grilled up citrus roasted salmon and baked salmon with garlic, but we just had to share this amazing salmon recipe too.

Last but not least, avocados and brussels sprouts dueled it out during week four.

Avocado was a clear winner! Between avocado toast, avocado cups, and avocado egg salad sandwiches, there are plenty of ways to use this superfood in your meals during the week.

Thanks for celebrating with us! Make sure to share your thoughts on our recipes you tried this month, or tag us in a post with a nutritious recipe of your own.
