Who We Need:
It’s Time Texas is looking for an individual to support the engagement and expansion of It’s Time Texas programs and initiatives in the Rio Grande Valley. The position requires an entrepreneurial spirit and a person that is an activator and connector. Existing connections in local communities across the region and/or experience working in public policy is preferred. This role will help build support, momentum, and adoption of policies and initiatives that will improve the health landscape in the RGV. This position will require a person who is eager and motivated to work with our team, community stakeholders, partners, funders, and the business community to position It’s Time Texas as a recognized innovator and leader in the region.
This role will cultivate existing and new collaborative partnerships, and assist with outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and is ready to provide a hands-on approach to creating healthier communities. The right person for this job is mature, comfortable and credible in working with high-level executives and leaders. They will have excellent relationship building and leadership skills, flexibility, and be able to adapt to change easily. Under the supervision of the Community Programs Director and with direction from It’s Time Texas leadership, this role will assist with strategic direction of engagement and funding, attend and hold leadership positions at coalition meetings and events, provide regional support for It’s Time Texas outreach, programs and initiatives, and other related tasks. Our RGV regional office is located in Weslaco, Texas and travel is expected across the four county RGV region (this position is outward facing and 60% of the role will be traveling across the RGV region).

What You’ll Bring:
- 2 years’ work experience in relationship-building required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Knowledge of and/or experience working with target region preferred
- Experience in fundraising/investor relations and/or public policy preferred
- Comfortable holding meetings and delivering presentations/trainings for a variety of audiences including C-level executives
- Demonstrated initiative, time management, project management, organizational and customer service skills
- Comfortable utilizing technology to participate in meetings and collaborate with other staff members remotely
- Dependable, resourceful, and able to work independently
