Decoding Food Labels and Making Informed Choices!
As we embark on our health improvement journey, it’s essential to decipher the seemingly obscure language of food labels. Let’s unravel the truth behind common claims found on our favorite products:
- “All Natural”: While products labeled as “all-natural” can’t have added colors, artificial flavors, or synthetic substances, they may still contain preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, or sodium injections.
- “No Sugar Added”: Don’t be fooled! Foods with this label could still contain sugar. It simply means that no extra sugar has been added.
- “Fat-free”: Similarly to sugar-free claims, fat-free doesn’t necessarily equate to low calorie. These products may contain extra sugar to make up for reduced fat content.
