Texas Walks is a campaign that culminates on October 20th with a statewide walk. Wherever you’re at, whoever you’re with, pledge to walk for 10 minutes, at 10am, on October 20th! Across the state, we’ll walk together and create a healthier Texas.

Then why aren’t we all more physically active? It doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective! Something as simple as a daily brisk walk can help improve your mood, balance, and concentration, lower your blood pressure, and maintain a healthy weight. (source)

On October 20th, more than 48,000 Texans of all ages walked in support of a healthy lifestyle and healthier state. Together, we proved that Healthy Lives Here!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the walk and supported IT’S TIME TEXAS by helping us make good health more accessible for Texas families. We raised $21,000 through this campaign!
