In the face of a challenge, how do we help each other thrive?

This is a uniquely challenging time. Many of us are isolated inside–worried about our health, our families, our communities, and our future. As we figure out how to adapt, it’s important to remember that we’re not alone. By giving voice to our experiences, we can remind other Texans that they aren’t either.

Tell us about your experience and perspective on thriving as we adjust to this new normal. What’s working? What isn’t? What’s made you feel discouraged or hopeful? What are you learning (about health, well-being, and life) along the way?

We’re looking for stories of approximately 200 – 800 words to add to our #texansthrive story bank and share on social media. Thank you for using your voice to make a difference.

A few things to note:

  • We publish stories with the author’s first name and city. If you would prefer to stay anonymous, just let us know by saying so in the body of the submission after your story.
  • We review all submissions and this process may take some time, so your story may not be posted immediately. We cannot guarantee that everything we receive will be published.
  • By submitting your story and/or photo, you agree to allow us to share it on It’s Time Texas’ website, social media, and other marketing channels.
  • You must be at least 13 years or older, with parental consent, to participate.
  • Please check all that apply.
  • If possible, please upload a high-resolution photo. We want it to look great on our website!
Accepted file types: jpg, png, jpeg.
